San Diego: home of the Padres, Sea World and the Charger girls. I used to spend a good amount of time here while I was growing up visiting family and staying on the Naval base. I haven’t been back for a good while to venture out but finally got the chance to this past weekend. Downtown was nice and quiet on Labor Day where I managed to stroll around a bit. Luckily some of the shops were open where I picked up some fresh gear. Unfortunately they were sold out of the Armory Warriors tee I was after. Damn! Anyway, picked up the Armory Boxhead and 5&A Dime Moustache Logo shirts and popped into Blends… support your local shops.

We’ll be back soon SD. Real soon.

Sudana, eRecto and MR10 made the trek out to Las Vegas where we were holding a photoshoot with the lovely Tracy Nova and our boy Genix. Much love to all the Fam on set that helped make magic happen especially el-n, DJ C-L.A., and Lani Z. While we won’t show you exactly all that we’ve been up to right now, here’s a sneak peek of the new SICKS Degrees Dream Team. A bit of something thing to look forward to.
We have also officially added Tracy Nova to the SICKS Degrees Family. It seemed like a natural fit from star to supernova. You can already find her all over the internet and in magazines but now you can also expect to see a lot more of her here. Welcome Tracy!

“Hello everyone! I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but mainly raised in Orlando, Florida. I’ve lived in places such as Orlando, Washington DC, and now currently back home in Las Vegas. I am a full-time international model.
Professionally, I have been modeling since I was 18 years old. I also took training classes and lessons in modeling and acting. I started modeling from a complete stranger saying that I should become a model. I took that into consideration and wouldn’t hurt to at least try. From then on, my career blew up and I’ve been in numerous magazines, websites, commercials, films, trade shows, events, and so much more!
Besides modeling, I also possess a degree as an Esthetician, also known as a skin care therapist. Graduated from High School, Modeling and Talent Schools, and a few years of college.
A few other things about me…I like to draw and paint, play video games, watch Anime, interested in cars, can play the piano and bass guitar, can surf and skateboard, computer savvy, interested in Japanese culture and sub-culture…but I am always trying and learning new things! I have been to and seen many different cities and cultures. I love learning and trying other cultures’ way of living. It is very fascinating! Life has no boundaries!
I also love to give back to the community and help out others. I’ve participated in many donations and charities this year including breast cancer awareness, lukemia, and the Filipino Fund Drive for Typhoon Ondoy Vicitims.
I am determined, intuitive, passionate, exciting, and observant. I always have a positive outlook and love all the simple things in life. I love to laugh, learn, live, and love.
I am very grateful for my family, friends, and fans. I have learned so much from everyone. I like to thank everyone for their endless love and I hope to continue my career!” – Tracy Nova

This week was a busy one, spending time and doing work with the SICKS Degrees Fam in Vegas. So many milestones in such a short time that we decided to dedicate 2 posts to to our trip. 51FIFTY dropped their latest mixtape this Wednesday, rocking out the night at Wasted Space in the Hard Rock LV. “Body Bags 2: The Next Mixtape” is the next chapter from the DJ/drummer duo, filled with new hits with their special dirty twist and sprinkled with soundbits from your favorite movies. Performing 2 of their latest sets that night, DJ Presto One, Dustin J., Brenda Reese and JP808 went super hard, holding nothing back with one of their best performances. SICK STAR was in the building to show our love and support with Sudana, Silent John, Chuck Fader, el-n and MR10 making an appearance.

Check out the printing and packaging on the CD. They used the image from our SICK STAR x 51FIFTY “Snare & Record” collab shirt that we did. Thanks to the guys for putting us on.

While you can only get hardcopies at the shows, you can download the mixtape online. 51FIFTY made it easy by making both tracked and untracked versions available.

Give it a listen and be sure to check out the calendar on the 51FIFTY site to find where they’re playing next… Remember to bring a shovel because they’re stacking body bags sky high.

Here’s DJ E-Man of L.A.’s Power 106 repping our SICK Beats tee. Check him out on Big Boy’s Neighborhood Monday-Friday during your early morning commutes. Big ups to Mitchell Deguzman of the Power 106 Flava Unit for holding us down in L.A.
SICKS Degrees Fam, Nasty Ray of Boogie Brats is up to big things. He’s currently training with Legacy (of So You Think You Can Dance fame) for an upcoming Justin Bieber concert tour to be filmed for the big screen. Word has it that Kanye West, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Ludacris and Boyz II Men are in the mix as well. Nasty Ray recently made an appearance in this summer’s Step Up 3D. He is of the best, most underrated Bboys in the world and one cool, humble, coffee addicted dude. If you don’t believe us, check out this clip:
